Great Invasions - Patch 1.07c is available

NEW 1.07C AGEOD PATCH
Important: This patch works for the AGEOD version of the game.
So, once installed, you will have to:
- launch the Setup tool;
- type again the serial key number.

This is the list of improvements and bug fixes that come with this patch:

- Improvement: added frequency for minor Ethnics assimilation tests (expressed in months, see in GameRules DB, line PAF)
- Fixed bug: the checks for entrance in play of historical leaders was working only for monarch, not for common leaders
- Fixed bug: when a vassal army was marching through the country of the dominant nation, the crossed province generated no income
- Fixed bug: when a vassal army was meeting an army of the dominant nation, they fought each other
- Fixed bug: Graft stratagem was wrongly applied, as no cost was applied on playing nation's treasury and the diplomatic relations improvement was wrongly applied
- Improvement: added reciprocity in diplomatic relations change for 'Gift' and 'Threaten' diplomatic embassies
- Fixed bug: wrong sprites for some religions (Acacianism, Alawism, Bogomilism, Karaism, Kharijism, Monotheletism, Mutazilism, Origenism, and Sunni Muslim)
- Improvement: deadline date for all historical events that can trigger 'technological improvements' (i.e.: Dromons / Fire Dromons for Byzantium) has been set to 31 Dec 1066, so that now this technological advances are now available also in later scenarios!
- Fixed Bug: the 'Bribe' embassy now works fine

Note for those players who bought the Strategy First or Nobilis edition of Great Invasions: you may ask a key for applying the patch provided you can give proof of your purchase.

HISTORICAL MOD 1.07C UPDATE
The player’s Mod has been updated to work with 1.07c. You can download it here or on our forum.
Important: once installed the mod, you will have to insert again the serial key.

A PC turn-based strategy game, Montjoie! allows you to relive the whole Hundred Years War, from 1337 to1453. This era sees terrible defeats of the French kings at Crecy, Poitiers and Azincourt, but also victories of French leaders Du Guesclin at Cocherel and Montiel, and that of Joan of Arch at Orleans and Patay. You must lead one of the 6 warring factions during one of the numerous campaigns available. At the head of France, England, Burgundy, Navarra, Flanders or Britanny, you shall deploy your strategic talent by building castles, buying troops cards, besieging enemy cities or undertaking diplomatic agreements. You should find allies, alternate war and peace phases, learn how to use army cards and special cards such as felony, pillage or retreat. Erecting castles will protect your provinces from invaders, and you shall improve your lands to get more gold.

This computer adaptation of a famous boardgame has additional content and allows up to 6 players to play and compete through an easy but highly enjoyable gameplay

Scenarios can be played in less than 2 hours, be they single or multiplayer.

We also included a mini encyclopaedia and an historical timeline to allow a better understanding of the conflict: its actors, the battles and the goals of the belligerents.

AGEOD’s latest historical strategy game, Napoleon’s Campaigns is officially available today, November 16th, 2007! You can buy it by Download, either with the usual credit card method or (and this is new too!) using PayPal. Our box-loving fans who look after the CD-box and printed manual shall have to wait a little bit more to order them from our website. We expect to receive the French boxes early December 2007 and the English ones in February 2008. Thanks for your patience!

For those of you who want to see by themselves beyond the praise already received in the specialized press (Surely one of the best-looking games in the history of the digitized strategy genre The Wargamer), we have prepared a demo that will help you get a first impression of our game, one that could hopefully become a landmark in the historical strategy genre!

AGEOD and Apothecary Studios are pleased to announce that AGEOD download sales platform will be bringing gamers the first game of British studio APOTHECARY STUDIOS, War Wound!

War Wound is an isometric action/strategy game that centres around a Special Forces unit during a war in the near future. The game features real-time game play where each mission sees the player take command of a four man squad who must battle through various locations using a range of skills.

18 missions to work through, ranging from cerebral game play to frantic guns blazing action in a diverse range of locations including Jungle, Arctic, Urban and Desert environments. War Wound will not only challenge the beginner but also the hardened veteran.

These missions will require the player to use such abilities as swimming, climbing and piloting vehicles. Success in War Wound will hinge on all of the available skills being used at the right time and in the right place, but above all, use and mastery of the four weapons; Handgun, Machine Gun, Rifle and Rocket Launcher.

AGEOD sells now Great Invasions

AGEOD and NOBILIS have signed an agreement for the sale of Philippe Thibaut’s Great Invasions PC historical strategy game. Players can now purchase via download the full 1.07 version of the game from AGEOD’s online store. The game has a multi-language installer: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.

Note that the boxed version remains available with NOBILIS and its various partners in different markets.

Great Invasions website is now hosted by AGEOD, and the game’s forum has been moved as a new section on our own forums, in order to better follow and centralize exchanges with players. We hope you’ll enjoy the game.

WARNING: this video game published in 2005 does not guarantee any compatibility with Windows Vista; it works on the other hand perfectly under Windows XP.

The game is at present time only available by download, but will be later sold in boxed version in some countries, depending on demand and commercial partnerships signed on the game.

The AGEOD team (creators of Birth of America) is very pleased to announce its new product: AGEOD’S AMERICAN CIVIL WAR – The blue and the Gray.

A historically accurate, realistic and fun turn-based grand operational strategy game of the American Civil War (1861-1865). Based on an expanded and improved version of the “Birth of America” game engine, the game enjoys a very intuitive interface and is easy to learn.

Compared to its predecessor, it features many additions such as new economic and political features, player control of troop recruitment, full chain of command from armies to brigades and much much more!

AGEOD expands the distribution of Birth of America

We have also signed quite a few distribution agreements those past last weeks for Birth of America which is going to go retail:

The game will reach the shelves in North America by the end of this month, as well as in Russia and Eastern Europe.
then the retail markets in Germany, Great Britain, Benelux, Spain and Scandinavia will be covered by our local partners as early as next September,
and last but not least, France shall be supplied next October, as we are now closing our latest deal with a well-known distributor.

In addition, the game is already available in download sale through two of our renowned ESD partners, STEAM and PARADOX.

And of course you can still get it directly from us… !

Next: we have started since some weeks the development of our new (and next) game, heir of Birth of America, with a planned release end of next fall. We are also seriously involved in the development of two add-ons for our first game and we hope to have them available for our clients around Xmas… end of 2006 promises to be active at Ageod’s!

Birth of America is available now!

To start with, from Friday 24th February, you can only get the Digital version via download.

For the boxed version, which includes a CD and a printed manual, due to longer than expected manufacturing time, we shall receive them in stock from March 8th onwards. According to where you live, it will take between 5 and 10 days for the postal parcel to reach you.

Reminder: as indicated in our forum, all those who already pre-ordered the game will have the option to download it free of charge. We shall send the concerned customers an email with the corresponding detailed instructions.

Birth of America goes Gold !

The Gold version of Birth of America is now ready and the last tests and improvements are under way, before shipping the product to the manufacturer around 15 February 2006.

Due to manufacturing time, that we shall limit to the shortest possible, and depending on postal services efficiency, the game should reach you by end of the month.

Digital version will be available for sale and download could start around 21st February 2006.

For those who pre-ordered the game already, it will be possible to download it for free.
